Overview: Fluke fishing in the north seems to be the best game in town right now. No real reports of bass or large blues schools in this area so look for flatties to take the top lead spot for another week. Fluke and blues are dominating in the Raritan Bay while kingfish and croaker take the shores outside of the bay. Offshore action will be null and void for a few days thanks to Hurricane Bill so look for fishing to take a turn for the worse overnight.
Atlantic Highlands: There have been a ton of small bluefish and bass all over the South Beach area. Small tins and chunked baits are doing well near South Beach and further east to False Hook Bay. Fluke are doing better for the week near the Atlantic Highlands Bridge on Gulps and Spros. Bonito and Spanish mackerel are still hanging around off of Sandy Hook. Trolling Jap Feathers or Green Machines might do well, but the water is very choppy. Spike weakfish have been biting hooks in Chapel Hill Channel in the Shrewsbury River.
