Overview: Striper, bluefish and kingfish have been the talk of the town for the entire week. Stripers are starting to bite clams and sandworms over near Flynn’s Knoll in the Raritan Bay. False albies have been great over at South Beach on cedar plugs and tins. Farther out, the Scotland Grounds are loaded with porgies and sea bass on squid and clam pieces. Further to the south, kingfish are hitting sandworms and bloodworms at the North End in Spring Lake
Shark River Inlet: Shops from around the inlet are reporting bluefish with 10-pound chompers at best near the end of the week. Stripers to 20 pounds were caught off of Bradley Beach during the first part of the week. Offshore action was limited due to the weekend wash out. Word from the canyons is medium sized mahi and yellowfin when the wind is down.
